The Malawi Government has announced plans to commence the construction of a modern two-storey market in Mzuzu starting in May this year.
Minister of Local Government, Ben Phiri, made the announcement during an inspection visit to the proposed construction site located behind Mzuzu CCAP.
Phiri emphasized that the project is expected to enhance trading activities and contribute significantly to economic growth and urban development within the city.
The planned market is part of ongoing efforts by the government to modernize infrastructure and create a more conducive environment for businesses and vendors in Mzuzu.
